Kurzick and Luxon Clarification
Hello everyone, I have just reached the part in Factions where you have to pick a side. I was just wondering that if we pick one Faction, and we still do quests/elite missions pertaining to the other? Like if I pick Kurzick, can I still do The Deep which is Luxon? Thank you for your help in advance, and if this is the wrong forum which it may very well be, I apologize.

Yes, you can do both sides.
Basically, you get faction for a side whenever you do things for them (quests, fight in Alliance Battles or at Fort Aspenwood, etc). You can then trade that faction for items (jade/amber, or now entry to the elite missions) or donate it to your guild. You're considered to be "allied" with whatever group you currently have more faction with. So you could farm a couple million Kurzick faction, trade it all in for amber, go do one quest for the Luxons and be considered a Luxon ally. |

I would suggest playing only one side at a time, as there is a quest on both sides that you need tons of Faction for. I made the mistake of hopping around a bit with my first character, and in the end had to resort to Aspenwood PvP to get pretty much all of the Faction needed for those quests. They can't be skipped if you want to progress in the storyline on that side.
So yeah, you can do both sides, but until you've done that certain quest on each side, I'd suggest you stick with one side. |
